Found out I’m the Sports Editor for the Bengal’s Purr for 2011-2012. And, with our win yesterday over Lake City, Bengals are #2 in the league. Regionals start next Monday, go Bengals!

In today’s update, we have a spammer who came back twice in two days to give advice.

I am here before you tonight to dedicate this administration to bringing a new renaissance of neighborhood life and community spirit, a renewal of confidence in the future of our city and a revival of opportunity for all Chicago.

The relationship between press and politician – protected by the Constitution and designed to be happily adversarial – becomes sour, raw and confrontational.

Let’s not talk politics… and I’m about 2,000 miles from Chicago.

Bengals lose twice to IEL rivals, falling 3-2 and 15-9

Lewiston, which had a combined seven errors in both games, took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning after Matt Kalbfleisch’s RBI single and Peter Bakker’s opposite-field homer.

After Bakker’s solo shot – his fourth of the year – Lewiston wouldn’t cross home plate again.

Pretty impressive of Matt to get that RBI when he leads off and I drove him in, but the final score remains the same. Next game, Tuesday at Moscow.

Not Perfectgame.org, but a perfect game. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, I caught the perfect game my buddy Jarrod pitched. No hits, no walks, no errors. Coach said his teams haven’t had one of those in the 18 years he’s coached. Congrats, Jarrod. 58 pitches in 5 innings, game ended after 5 innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I was convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend reading it.

We’re 2-0 on the season so far, next game is Tuesday. I caught both ends of the doubleheader, and started off game one with a 2-run homer. Go Bengals!

Bengals pull out broom in season debut

In his first at-bat as a varsity starter, junior Pete Bakker connected on a two-run homer to spark a five-run first inning. That alone was enough for the crafty Kerns to work with.
